Business Analysis is a much used term and job title which means many things to many different people in the IT industry. To us it is the process of making sure your key business requirements are met through the proper and efficient use of technology.
Just a few case examples based on what our existing customers ask of us each day: -
- One of your customers demands that email attachments are encrypted and send you a technical document detailing what they expect. Focus IT can review the requirements, assess suitable encryption tools in the marketplace, procure licensing for the most suitable tool, install them on your network and train your staff how to use them. In certain circumstances, the tools may be freely available on the internet so you will only pay for our time.
- You have the opportunity to tender for new business, but the client is stating that you must have a robust Disaster Recovery (DR) plan. Focus IT can design and implement a DR plan that is tailored to your business and provide documentation to your client. If the worst happens, we will be there to invoke the plan and coordinate you and your suppliers toward a successful recovery.
- Your volume of business data has outgrown the capacity of your current backup device and your hardware supplier wants to sell you the latest off-site (cloud based) backup solution at a much increased cost. Focus IT can audit your network and suggest cheaper or better alternatives, for example could you archive some of your data and carry on with your existing backup strategy.
- Your staff need targeted systems training, but you cannot afford either the expense or time of having them out of the office to attend sometimes overly generalised training courses. After working with us for a period of time we will know your core systems and can run tailored on-site workshops to help your staff get the most out of the systems you have invested in.
